What challenges were you looking to address?

More effective communication between school and parents, alongside using a familiar digital format, such as an app for parents, to assist them with fulfilling school administration requirements. 

Parents are increasingly busy, and I wanted an app style product to help them and us. We also needed a new website to ensure we could remain compliant and improve our ‘window’ to the outside world.

What features were you looking for?

I was looking for a website and app that synced in order to reduce administration time in maintaining information, and also offered digital form submission. Other products offered many features, but none offered both these two key options. It seemed very ‘parent friendly’ and that was key to its success.

Why did you choose Parentapps?

The app was recommended to us by one of our governors, who is a business manager in another primary school, but is on our board of governors as her daughter was one of our pupils. She had used Parentapps at her school and was extolling the virtues of it.

The fact that Parentapps were a local company and could meet our needs all went into the decision of us choosing them. We hadn’t looked at too many other companies, only the more mainstream ones, but we actually got a more bespoke service from Parentapps.

I have been impressed by Parentapps’ drive to improve and extend its products throughout the four years we have been a customer. The support is responsive and effective. Even when there have been technical issues, they are dealt with quickly by the team.
